I am a random Bitcoiner who is greatly motivated by your amazing talks and contributions and would like to keep it this way. However recently the blocksize debate, that has pretty much turned to be a penissize debate has changed it.
I think your main concerns were Bitcoin's scaleability and censorship on Reddit.
About the former, the current development teams seem to be doing a great job by introducing segwit, lighting and sidechains and would do even better if /u/nullc would not have to waste all his time on tackling the personal attacks on /r/btc. Also at this point it is not farstreached to say that the XT and Classic developers are totally incompetent compared to the core. Even when they are not busy with whiny ragequitting, their GitHub reamains to be an abandoned place.
About the censorship, we can just look at how /r/btc turned out to be the ZeroHedge of Bitcoin. It is full of misinformation, altcoin spammers scammers and buttcoiners, what is very funny, until it suddenly isn't and they start to write bullshit on Winklevii ETF's official comment sections. Censorship is not ideal, but until we find a better forum there are very limited ways to fight against the flaws of Reddit and I can see why the moderators here have an extremely hard time to keep the bullshit out of the conversation. That being said, /r/btc does have censorship.
My point is: our developers are one of the smartest people in the world and "people who are angry at coredevs are utterly clueless as to how grateful they should be to them", and you guys are amongst those who are cheerleading the angry, distruptive crowd. However I respect you and I think based on the amount of information we have available at this point of time you might want reconsider your positions on the penis size debate.
