Will greater privacy-providing features (e.g. ring signatures, confidential transactions) come to Bitcoin? Are any devs working on features like this? What is the consensus on making Bitcoin more anonymous/private?

Will greater privacy-providing features (e.g. ring signatures, confidential transactions) come to Bitcoin? Are any devs working on features like this? What is the consensus on making Bitcoin more anonymous/private?

Does the community feel it is something we should do as soon as we can do it right, or will this topic require significant debate?

There are other cryptocurrencies out there now that focus on this aspect (Monero, Dash) and I, personally, do not see any reason to keep the innovation of privacy-aware features in the altcoin space.

On a similar note, if we can discuss this here as well, why did Ethereum not opt for a more privacy-oriented implementation?

Noob with Mining…

Hi, I wanted to start mining! I was going to buy an SP20 or an S5 not sure yet… SP20 seems easier to setup with my internet problems that I will discuss later…So, here are the problems I have.. I have a router and a modem downstairs, they would work with this but, my parents do not want the miner downstairs connected there. So my next option is, the closet upstairs there is a wifi router there that I could possibly connect the miner to (problem there is airflow very hot in there). I was wondering if there is anything I can buy that I plug into a socket in the wall that will give me an ethernet connection without fishing any wires through the wall (chicken wires in the wall hard to fish stuff in there). What are my options and what should I do… It is ideal to have my miner and ethernet setup in there.So my question is, is it possible to get an ethernet hub or something of some sort without moving the router, modem, or putting wires through walls, etc.?If so, what is it called, how is it setup and is there any you can recommend.It just has to have something with an ethernet so I can connect the miner and proceed…Thank you all for the help this is very important to me. via /r/BitcoinMining http://bit.ly/1TcMjL0
